How tournaments work
Wrestlers will be encouraged to compete in tournaments throughout the season, however this is not a requirement to participate in the PYW program.

Section V and the tournament season
New York State is divided into various sections, and the greater Rochester area is located within Section V. Tournaments are available all year, however the tournament season really heats up in December and after the new year.
State championships
The NYWAY State championships are in March. There are divisions and weight classes for all PYW wrestlers to compete.
Entry fees
Tournament competition is extra, and entry fees can be paid directly to the host programs.
The PYW Tournament
All wrestlers will be entered into the PYW Tournament. Date to be determined.

Registration forms for area tournaments are posted to the PYW calendar as they are announced. Entries are made with the host program, not through PYW.
